The recovery language needs to be read by an aviation attorney just to be understood. Apparently it was written by someone at NWA and has never changed.
It could be so simple, like down to 2 paragraphs. If displaced for a trip, you're put on LCR with a reserve time starting at your original showtime and cannot be finished beyond your original finish time unless the pilot consents. Pay protected for the original credit or higher flown. Plain and simple. There is no way that a pilot awarded a trip should have to call in and possibly be given a 2 hour call out.
