We are gown a** men and women, and supposedly professionals as well. ALPA is here and we are negotiating with the company; with or without any lanyards. We are not laborers who never made it past high school, and need the extra signs and slogans to follow the collective sheep. Everybody who has such a hard-on about these lanyards that they would stop treating a colleague with some common courtesy needs to grow up.
Asking to wear the lanyards is to just show support. It does makes a difference in the eyes of the company. Good example is the bag handles we aren't allow to use. However , I do agree that if anyone chooses not to wear it, there's no need for disrespectful behavior towards one another. It's a personal choice.I'm personally not a fan of wearing it, but I do.
