There's another option in NRT if you are just looking for a day room (i.e., you jumpseated in from CAN in the AM and are D/Hing out via passenger carrier in the afternoon, or vice-versa). There are a limited number of day rooms available in both Terminals 1 and 2 for 1500 yen for the first hour, and 750 yen for each subsequent. The rooms are open from 0700 to 2100. They are small, with just a bed and a small bathroom with shower, but comfortable.
The rooms in Terminal 1 are about 100 feet past the McD's we walk by before going down the escalator when operating out. The rooms in Terminal 2 are to the right of the top of the down escalator for the shuttle over to the remote terminal, and right across from and within range of the JAL first class lounge wifi.
Been using them for years, you just have to note on your expense report that the NRT Terminal receipt is for the in-terminal hotel.
