I've been senior enough to hold the 175 since the first bid for it but there's no way I'll give up my Delta and American benefits while subjecting myself to 4 day trips or crappy standups just to fly a nicer airplane. On top of the credit being higher on the CRJ and the flight benefits being better on the CRJ the pairing mix is also far better.
My credit this month is around 130 on the CRJ. That's pretty much unhead of on the E175.
First post here, but have been lurking for a while. I too am starting school early next month and want to be based at ORD. Was wondering the same thing and was hoping I would read a response like yours. The HR person at SW essentially said the same thing, so I chose the CRJ for initial. Then follow up with differences training shortly thereafter.
Can anyone comment on base and FO seniority movement if you are at a Jr base and intend on staying there (at least for the foreseable future)? Thanks.
