That being said, i've been pretty happy with my decision to come here. I'm cautiously optimistic Hogg knows our schedules are too demanding and will work on increasing productivity and days off.
If you're more than 2 years away from flowing at any of the WOs it shouldn't even factor into your equation. Too many factors that can affect it going forward. How many FOs have you hired so far last year and this year that will be eligible to upgrade in the next 6-12 months? The answer is quite a few. And do you think PDT will be able to continuing hiring (and increase hiring) as the staffing needs call for it? I'm not trying to persuade tall guy one way or the other, I just don't think you're painting a realistic picture of PDT. Your temporarily low upgrade times will increase, and it will be hard to find pilots. That is the reality of the situation not just for you but for PSA as well. On paper, we still have growth left. But in reality I think that growth is finished, or at best will continue at a trickle. You will keep taking 145s until you can't staff them. And that will likely happen before you get all of the planes you were promised. Envoy will continue to fly the CRJ and 145 because as of right now they have the pilots to staff them. The airplanes will go where the pilots are.

New hires choosing ANY regional airline right now should do so with the thought that they may have to spend 3 - 4 years there in the right seat. Because the reality is that by the time a new hire is eligible for upgrade, 2 years will have passed and the entire industry will look different in many ways.
