My preferred shades at the regionals were the classic Nike Tarj. They were virtually indestructible, had grey lenses good for any light level, and had thin enough earpieces to wear the Dave Clark's without any head pain, even after 9 legs in the mighty Beech.

I tried out a pair of polarized Oakley's recently and there is just too much discoloration of the windscreen in the MD-11.
