before I get slammed this is not something that ive made up, this is a ongoing problem at all frax.
3700 feet! That is huge!

I routinely landed on on a 700 foot strip (the boat).
But seriously, I can't get defensive about fighter guys. What do I know, I have never even been a passenger in a bizjet.
But, I am surprised that fighter types have trouble adapting. We have many skills that seem readily adaptable to fractional employment. We do all of our own flight planning; We do a lot besides just being pilots - I had 5 ground jobs and was so busy to the point where flying was a welcome distraction; we are used to making big boy decisions on the road where there is no one to call; we have to play well with others - at the boat we fly with many different units and have to do our part as an asset for the battle group commander; and customer service - you should see how our O-4's can kiss an O-5's ass.
Point being, we have to wear a lot of hats in military, and I never saw any sense of entitlement (caveat - I can only speak for Navy).
