My prescription sunglasses are polarized and make the windshield on the ERJ look like a giant rainbow. Also, the RMU's and ISIS go dark if I tilt my head sideways. Call me crazy, but wouldn't you feel safer having to look through a rainbow and not being able to tilt your head when looking at the RMU than having to squint your way through the most critical phases of flight?
