Atlas lowered their mins 4 time already since 2011. They had to revamp their training to accommodate the low-experience new hires. ..some now have no jet AND no international AND no flights above 18000'. Also a good number have no turbine PIC. About 1/2 of regional pilots, and probably all pilots, won't do long haul. Next Atlas will have to hire C-172 instructors With bareach ATPSs. And next year it will only be worse. Long time Atlas pilots who were thinking they would just wait it out....are now starting to realize that is going to be a long time. They are giving up and looking elsewhere.
Attrition will increase. Experience levels will continue to go down.
Meanwhile Atlas needs a shat ton of more pilots to staff the Amazon birds. Where are they going to come from and how are they going to be trained? Every time Atlas tries to increase newhires the backlog for IOE gets ridiculously long.
