And you'll find 9E flying to LGA from MCI from time to time as well, so that wouldn't be a terrible option, if you have to do that short term at 9E.
I have family in the NY area so being NY based for a while and commuting would not be the worst. I have been looking at the flights out of MCI and it seems like MSP, ORD, DFW, and NYC have a lot of options.
