I'm not arguing for the company but many of our aborts and air returns were completely preventable. It's a training issue in large part, we need to have a day in training where they tell you things like "loss of EPR on takeoff should not require an abort." There's plenty of instances where it is warranted but they do a crappy job of training everyone.

If they would publish some of the incident reports people would crap themselves. We have a great pilot group here, but we do some stupid stuff.
