There actually was a company conference call last year (or maybe it was early this year) in which our VP of planning, JB, said that JAX would become a base at some point, but that has since gone by the wayside. For that matter, there has been very little talk of new bases period, either from the company or the rumor mill. JB said in our last all employee conference call (about 3 weeks ago) that the focus is on the operation now and replacing the 80's and not so much on growth and expansion. He made mention to a new possible TDY only base in the summer of 2017 perhaps converting to a permanent base towards the end of 2017, but no mention as to where that may be. The typical new base options that seem to swirl around the rumor mill are JAX, Austin, Indy, and possibly MEM and MCI as outliers.

But honestly, things seem to change daily, and just because a senior management guy says/hints/indicates on thing one day, doesn't mean it won't be completely different the next. If you wanna come to allegiant, your best course of action is to make sure that you can be somewhat flexible in your lifestyle for the first year... After a year here you should have a pretty good idea of where the following few will take you.
