You should have no trouble getting any base you want within a year. Please guys read this loud and clear.... No base at allegiant is so senior that you won't be able to hold it quickly. There is enough growth and attrition (less attrition now of course) and just people moving around for the hell of it, to provide openings for all the bases at least once every 6 six months (most much more than that). If that stops, well... it'll be a different story. Once you get to base, moving up the seniority list may be very different from base to base, although every base has its senior guys who don't plan on leaving. As for overall seniority within the base, the long established ones obviously win out (PIE, SFB, LAS, IWA, BLI).

upgrade in the 80 seems to be going a bit faster than the airbus for now, but not by much, and it's pretty much a mute point because we're going all "seniority based" now so once your base transitions over to the bus, your CA spot will be out for bid to the whole company anyway. at least that's how it's supposed to work.

I hear schedules on the airbus are a bit better overall. Your time on reserve will depend a lot on your base, and even more so on allegiant's continued growth, but as of now it should be no more than 6 months tops (straight reserve line that is, not talking mixed lines). I'm not sure about your seat lock question, but that will likely not matter once you are hired anyway. Upgrade time here is most likely going to steadily increase, best guess is quickest upgrade on the bus is currently around 1.5 years (to get the award, not to finish the training/hit the line) and the 80 is around a year. That's mainly because many/most fo's will just wait until they can upgrade in their base... thereby skewing the whole "upgrade time" equation.

If you have some time, read the last 35 pages or so. skipping over the negative and pointless posts and it shouldn't take you too long. You should glean some very helpful information.
