As you know, our ability to attract new pilots to Envoy is critical to our continued success. It enables us to compete for additional flying and allows us to provide swifter career progression for our First Officers and flow-through to American for our Captains.
That’s why I’m excited to announce that tomorrow we will present a proposal to the ALPA Envoy MEC that will position our airline as a leader in the regional industry:
· Increased starting pay for new hire pilots, increasing their pay rates to industry-leading levels along with a retention bonus.
· Increased pay for existing First Officers, in parity with new hire pilots pay rates and extending the retention bonus to pilots hired since the previous agreement.
· Captain retention bonus, for those already on the path to flow-through to American.
American has shown that they will award increased flying to the regional carriers who are able to reliably perform it. So it is imperative that we continue to do everything possible to attract and retain the caliber of pilots that Envoy is known for.
