What Envoy can guarantee that others can't is 30-40 SENIOR pilots leaving per month via the flow to AA. Other Regionals can't predict their attrition, or if that attrition will come from the top of the seniority list or the bottom.
So Envoy's projections are much more accurate because we have this known attrition quantity-the flow through-and we know exactly where on the seniority list that attrition will come from.
Having a mechanism to move pilots up and out is a big deal. Even with 250 or so lifers at Envoy the vast majority of them have less than 10 years left before retirement and will predictably drop off the list over time. Compare that with the United's CPP or Delta's DGI that cherry picks through the seniority list you get left with guys throughout the seniority list who might be stuck or have no guarantee when they will be able to move on clogging upward progress for the rest of the list.
This should allow Envoy to increase monthly hiring well above the current 30/month. Endeavor went from a 7+ year upgrade and low teens hiring per month to a less than 2 year upgrade with talks of street captains and 50+/month hiring in less than two years. The same will likely happen at Envoy with much better attrition on the seniority list where it matters.
