The problem is the message also said "...this company is not the same company that hired you..." Long after the new deal is inked, and it will be at some point, the message that will linger will be the latter one.
One thing you learn in this industry is that regardless of what management says, your real allies are your coworkers, not management. It seems like SWA pilots for years thought they were "different" than the rest of the industry. The fact APA and ALPA pilots were picketing alongside SWAPA pilots should show that we are all pretty much in the same business now.
What is the reason for the United pilot career fair for military and veterans? Delta pilot job fair? All management techniques to recruit a dwindling pilot pool or the tin foil hat crowd ideas?
