Piedmont has announced nothing, and our union has been silent on the matter. I completely understand the whole "benefit the entire pilot group argument", but let's not forget that FOs are only on a 4 year pay scale which, under the proposed plan, tops out at ~$40/hr. Captain pay in the jet tops out at $87 on a 12-year scale.
I'm also operating under the assumption that current FOs would not be eligible for the retention bonus since our union (smartly) turned down the retention bonus earlier this year /s.
