I honestly don't know what the issue is here.
When I interviewed, if your logbook did not match what you put on Airline Apps (unless you accounted for the difference in the pre-interview paperwork) you were asked to leave very shortly after arriving. It didn't matter how many hours you were off. Uncompromising adherence to policy was Eagle's deal then, whether or not you find it ridiculous.
