The purpose wouldn't be to please other employee groups but rather educate other employee groups on managements proposal to weaken JV scope and add more large RJs for example. Other employee groups are only hearing what management is telling them...and yes, DL management is talking. Just the other day in the MCO lounge I overheard an in-flight supervisor tell a group of F/As "hopefully the pilots will come to their senses, they're asking for way too much money and they're going to screw up the momentum we have".
They may be talking but if so it is counter productive. Frankly I don't give 2 shlts what the FAs think about our negotiations. Sure it would be nice if you were on board, but your enmity won't sway my decision nor move management one way or the other. Any discord between the 2 groups will ultimately result in worse service to our customers which is something management does not want.
