Normally, if I am catching a free ride, I don't try to get in an argument with the captain, but I couldn't keep my mouth shut. I wasn't rude or anything but I said "Well, I don't agree. There is no guarantee that I will be a captain in 10 or even 15 years. Look at United. I bet a lot of the FOs there thought they would be captains by now. I could be stuck as an FO for a long time and FOs need some money too." They didn't really say much after that but I just couldn't not say anything to an idiotic comment like that.
