Default Hey gang.. possibly original question

Hi folks,

A little background...I am 50yo guy with a PPL/SE/ME/IA/AD I'm 3 hours away from my CPL ride (just the required 3 for prep). I've been flying (licensed) since 1988.

I currently have in excess of 2000 hours TT with a great majority of that xctry, and a lot of that xctry is night/ifr...about 75 ME. All of my training was part 61. My hours came about from owning my own aircraft, and having property scattered throughout the NE. I am currently unemployed, but previously had 12yrs at NWA, and 6 at DL in Dispatch.

I'm curious as to what people think would be the smartest avenue to pursue, with the end result being somewhere in a 91/135 outfit.

I have been "offered" a situation in a 135 outfit flying Lears. My buddy is an FO with them, and his QOL is outstanding while earning 75K a yr. He's in his 2nd year there. They offered him captain this year, and he declined.

I'd have to go to FlightSafety for the type, (2 weeks I believe) and then I'd be off and running.

So again, I have no desire whatsoever to work in a 121 outfit, UNLESS, it had an outstanding QOL. Good luck with that, I know.

Thanks in advance for any insight provided, I really appreciate it. It's all about the QOL, not so much the salary.....I'll still eat...lol. I just want to fly.

Thanks.....
