Default 50 seaters are on life support.....

The "parking of all 50-seaters" is inevitable. The CRJ200 AIRFRAME requires an inspection at an hour interval that costs nearly as much as the retail cost of the airplane when it rolled off the line. Hence the reason that these airplanes are being parked.

If you're going to fly beyond said interval (40,000 cycles) it is feasible. Again with an additional expense, an operator is able to reach the 60,000 cycle mark. Once you go beyond that it is cost prohibitive to operate these airplanes. ENGINES are not the issue. Airframe is the issue.

Skywest is and has parked them as they've reached this milestone.

Air Wisconsin has parked them as they've reached this milestone.

AE has parked some as they've reached this milestone.

The following link shows when this issue reared its head in 2012.

The 50-seat RJ is being "parked" regardless. No scope relief. They want more large RJs? Put them on the DL list. That is no different than me saying "this year the browns won't win the super bowl. Who wants to bet me $500 on that?" If you are interested in making this bet, PM me and we can get in touch with PayPal info. I will gladly make that bet. 2:1 odds.
