I wouldn't say not having a degree is taking the easy way out. Not everyone went to a university, many of us got our ratings while working a job we already had. That being said yes it helps to have one for sure. But it doesn't sound like hes being lazy. I don't have a 4 year because i did my ratings while in the military, and the fact that United doesn't require one right now is a bonus to me and people like me. I am anything but lazy. Just don't have a BS degree in BS...
I'm not trying to be lazy. I'm just confused as to with the airlines needing more pilots I feel like they are going to drop the degree requirements.
Are you a UAL pilot with no degree?
