We are not at the bottom. We are definitely not at the top or anywhere close to it. We are in the middle to the bottom third, which is not good.
The fact of the matter is that while we have better pay, benefits, and a better contract than some, those things are not in any way enough to make us attractive to new hires, which is what we desperately need. This is a new market; a money market. New hires don't care about contracts and reserve rules. They care about money, upgrade and flow. Our pay is below others, I calculate my upgrade time to be at least 12-18 months away from now and I've been here 16 months, and we have no flow.
If management doesn't change their tune, this airline will dry up. No one will come here. The "reserve your seniority" program will only be a band aid for so long.
