At worse we hired LESS. Without the additional 76-seaters, DCI would have only been able to staff 4500 pilots and anyways, and with more of them being 50-seaters than 76-seaters, than means MORE lift would have been needed at mainline, requiring MORE hiring.

It harmed hiring, not at worse no harm.

Don't forget Delta bailed out Republic with a multi-million dollar lifeline to keep their additional 76-seaters going. The chances of Delta doing that for 50-seaters would have been less, which meant we could have had even more hiring at mainline due to that.

You need to start thinking like management. Otherwise they will keep rolling over you. They are quit good at it.
