I had about 1700 hours starting out. I did a 135 gig in the past, but that was over 2 years ago.
As far as the 40 hours of multi, I believe they are holding fast to the 100 hour mark. Its easier to waive some total time. You know the thought process on how to deal with an engine failure in a multi is different than a single. You only get one option with the TBM. They are looking for the experience going through the process of planning the what if's that happen when you still have the option to go. Get an MEI, you'll hit 100 hours real quick and be better off because of it.
