Is there a SOP for notifying the company?

Reading 21-N of the UPA, jury duty is considered a paid absence. Do I get removed for the entire 3 day trip or will the company deadhead me out to attend jury duty?

Thanks.
Firstly, don't be in a rush to notify the PSC or the flight office. Your duty isn't till the end of October.

I generally do jury duty once every year. As a rule I usually don't notify the company until about 2-3 days prior to the event.

Might I suggest that perhaps you could find yourself in a position where 2 closely spaced 4day trips could easily replace that 3day trip in your line. There are no restrictions on your ability to trade until you notify.

Please remember that this is a negotiated benefit and you are entitled to be paid for ALL dropped trip due to jury duty.
