My advice to those of you contemplating an upgrade or when to take a class is this, take the first opportunity you get because you never know when one hiccup can happen.
I don't think the 175 staffing is holding you back. Since the CRJ FOs can go through an expedited upgrade program in like a few weeks, they can crank more CAs out in a short time to meet winter staffing needs.
