If anything, they should be at the bottom of in-class seniority for having cost the company all that extra money.
Two dudes interview same day, one with 121 experience, an ATP, and a type in the same plane the company flies; the other is a Commercial/CFI with no 121 experience, yet he will end up being senior to the first guy simply because he was LESS qualified? It's wrong.
The seniority hit cost me when it came time to bid for sim, bid for domicile, and eventually vacation, upgrade, etc. It's just wrong.
In class now. Seniority in the class is:
1. Cadets based on date of being a cadet.
2. Last 4 of SSN.
CTP date has nothing to do with it. We have a combination of CTP class dates in our group, and several who didn't attend CTP. Makes no difference, the cadets are 1st, then the rest of us with SSN. I hope this helps.
