There are a number of things which will play out in the next few years that will affect scope. For example, reducing the amount of outsourced flying, AA taking on more narrow body aircraft, and reconfiguration of existing CRJs.

By the time all the dust has settled expect to have only 2 maybe 3 outsourced companies doing niche flying for AA. The rest of the flying will be in house with the 3 wholly owned and mainline.
