However if I go to United (via ExpressJet or Republic) I need a degree (I need one to be competitive) so I would go to LA Tech or another college.

I'm not disrespecting what you're saying at all...but Flight School versus college makes a difference to my choice.
Thank you for you're help.
When i got hired at Skywest it was in 2010 and the hiring market was very competitve. Although it wasnt required, very few were getting hired without the college degree. My point is that you are setting yourself up to get hired only at american if you take the envoy flow through. And that is only because of the hiring market we are in right now. Since you dont even have your PPL right now, a lot can happen between now and your americn airlines job and if another economic downturn hits, your setting yourself up to not being able to get hired by even a regional. Dont make things harder on yourself in the long run. Get your degree!!!!
