Guys six year fo here. Don't discredit the 145. I almost bid the crj as a new hire and when they closed ny. I stayed with the 145 and it's been the best choice I made. It's in every base. It's rumored by the union to be the plane for a possible Miami.
It allowed me to start in ny when I had serious personal issues at home as a new hire. I enjoyed two years later on in Miami (moved there) and when **** hit the fan and i had to again be ny based I went right back to ny. Thelast year commute sucked but ny is open again and guess what shocker it's emj145. I'm constantly flying aand overnighting in Miami too. Just did 20 hour Miami overnight scheduled Friday, and then same Saturday unscheduled.
It's an easy airplane and reliable. Don't get too caught up with shiny her syndrome. Focus on qol and what gives you what you want. And Jesus Christ don't commute just for a shiny jet.
Truth. So far the 145 has been the workhorse of this airline. It has been based every base Eagle had excluding SJU. The 175 may be nice, but don't just hold out because some don't understand AA scope and with their own forward look projections and personal agendas. Do what you feel is best for YOUR QOL.
BTW, I am not bring bad to any fleet type. A jet is a jet. At least it's not a C172!
