Delta wants the regional airlines to fly additional 76 seaters, not just replace old 50-seaters, but fly additional. Right now, Delta is all scoped out. Their side of the new agreement, what they want to do, is to relax the scope so that will happen. The union is against it, they don't want to see that happening. Here is my take on that whole thing. That 2.3mill aircraft purchase article was about 2 weeks to late. I believe Delta was looking at the ERJ's when the first Version of the TA has 50 more (thats about 2.3 at "list" price).. Then Delta ALPA held ground and so that artical is a few weeks behind the game. Games moving fast these days..
