Delta wants the regional airlines to fly additional 76 seaters, not just replace old 50-seaters, but fly additional. Right now, Delta is all scoped out. Their side of the new agreement, what they want to do, is to relax the scope so that will happen. The union is against it, they don't want to see that happening. But if Delta spends 2.3 billion buying 50-70 new jets, where do you think they will go? To mainline? No. To serve to replace 50 seaters? Maybe some, but I doubt it. If the 2.3 billion purchase happens it's because the scope would have to be relaxed.
