There are lots of flights, but tons of commuters, and it often takes two or three flights to get out. It's also a popular backup two-leg commute for ATL ppl who work at other domiciles. Depending in the situation, I will drive it when I have to go to ATL, but I'm now Dtw based and am much happier with the Clt/Dtw commute.
