Seriously. It was told to me directly by 2 mechanics.

The mechanics and the company have been in contract negotiations for years and the mechanics are getting fed up and leaving. They have had a bunch of good guys leave in the last year, and they are short handed. They simply didn't have the time or spend the time to get what they called the 'cards' ready. The 'cards' are basically checklists of what routine inspections are required for the aircraft, and obviously they have to be approved. From what I was told, they haven't even gotten them put together yet, let alone get them approved.

We should still be the launch customer for the 319 NEO and the North American CFM powered NEO, but they aren't coming yet!
