Spirit pilots absolutely did. Their successful strike vote made that a company worth considering (at the time).
We all look to DAL as an example of effective labor relations (early contract agreements specifically), but nothing I've seen yet suggests that B6 management is shooting for the high road rather than the Spirit model.
Really, I don't think we know exactly what we're dealing with here until this thing comes out.
