Very well said. Much of what transpires in an individual's career depends upon where they are in that career. I am in the sunset time now (2 years 10+ months left in mine) and I'll be staying. If I were at the other end of my career my choice might well be different. As it is, I do very much enjoy the flying, the folks with which I fly and (believe it or not) even the constant schedule changes. It's much like flying the C-141 back in the day but without the tents and MREs.

I absolutely do not begrudge anyone leaving here for better opportunities. It's a wise move most likely, at least with the contractual situation as it is now. For me, I'll ride this horse until it's time to hang up my spurs.
