After a recent union email that all but officially "discourages" VX, OT and outbasing, (that was my reading between the lines interpretation, anyway) their seems to be a growing consensus here lately against such.

There is a "more passionate" group here considering starting a social media page to out those that are doing such that is not sanctioned by the union leadership. I am not for posting anyone's name, even in a closed group. However, I am on board with the idea that SHOPping (Stop Helping Out Purchase) includes not flying VX, OT or outbasing.

So just a heads-up to those looking to work here. In the minds of many, the first year 50 hour guarantee, being on training pay, extended medical leave, etc., does not justify doing extra flying and will not get you any sympathy.
