You have gotta be kidding me. Sorry, but I'm not sorry if my service causes you to have to do the job you signed up for, instead of sitting at home.
Unfortunately for you, military service impacts more than just "me and my family." It's an inconvenience to private corporations (like United), and an inconvenience to the other employees. If you think you have it bad, imagine being a pilot at a small corporate flight department where one of the 4 pilots has to deploy.
That's just part of the costs we all must shoulder to further our national objectives.
