Why does LGA get such a bad rap? Apart from the delays it's one of my favorite airports. Unlike some airports where you are likely to get multiple arrival and runway changes LGA is straight up, one arrival, one landing runway. The controllers are top notch, Good diversion airports close by, (unless you have Sully's luck) and the visual 31 is one of the best arrivals to let you feel like a pilot not a button pusher. What's not to like?
Then why do all the SWA folks request the RNAV 31 instead of the expressway vis 31 when clear and a million? They are THE ONLY ones that do that.
