Unfortunately for you, military service impacts more than just "me and my family." It's an inconvenience to private corporations (like United), and an inconvenience to the other employees. If you think you have it bad, imagine being a pilot at a small corporate flight department where one of the 4 pilots has to deploy.

That's just part of the costs we all must shoulder to further our national objectives.

Dude, I don't want to help YOU pull your military reserve duties. I don't care if you think we should all pitch in and help. I did my time in the military and don't want to give Uncle Sam another minute of my time. They tax me and tax me and continue to tax me and now you want me to help you with your reserve duties. No Sir, do it yourself!
