It will be a line check item. You can't use an ancient, crap iPad.
This is news to me. What is your source? I'll bet that 95% of our pilots are using an iPad that is an older version than an Air 2.

Per FOM Vol. I, 10.70, all versions of the iPad are approved, except 1st Generation. Until that changes, any iPad 2 or later version is approved.
