Per FOM Vol. I, 10.70, all versions of the iPad are approved, except 1st Generation. Until that changes, any iPad 2 or later version is approved.
A friend that just had recurrent ground school. I haven't seen anything official yet either, but it makes sense. As we hit the 3 year mark, the FAA wants people replacing old ones with new ones. I guess their main concern is the battery life of old iPads.
I guess I'll look into selling my old one.
