Slippery slope right there....

Would you like PTs for FOs every 6 months, like it is with CAs?

Would it be nice to try some new things on the warm up sim, yeah. Will that change our training or other standard/AQP airline training from a "check the box" training environment, I dont think so.
We need a change in philosophy. In my opinion the training is seen as an expense to be minimized as opposed to being the core of what we do. Except for the guy from Trinidad it seems safety is a buzzword for management. The sim guys are great but again the entire training philosophy should be reexamined.
At legacy airlines I think those guys were able to get the ear of management and really convince them it's in their long term interest to put resources into the department.
If we, as line pilots, don't think we need better training then I guess there won't be any changes. I think focusing efforts on improving our training department is a worthy goal.
