Those rehired retain prior longevity pay, but start over at the bottom of the seniority list.

I really couldn't disagree more. The rehire policy is skw's cheap plan to not give any of us a retention bonus as you are seeing at other regionals. Frankly if I left and had to come back to a regional why would I come back here? There are no sign on bonuses and no retention bonuses and with payscales across the board for FO's essentially at 40$ there is no gain here either. It unfortunately is a poorly worked or negotiated farce in the hands of skw. As for the loss of medical insurance well again thats great if you are a skw lifer but most of us are not and want out so other than giving people another reason to jam up the seniority list this is not a gain in any way. Frankly this is simply a retention bonus for skw and nothing to do with the pilot group. I would be shocked if people really thought otherwise.
