For whatever reasons skw may have in fact been the place to hang your hat well things change. These two policies put in place are in my view of course minute attempts to appease a pilot group who is simply under compensated in todays market. Ill reiterate again that they only really help to benefit skw who I think going forward will be the group who is in fact no longer filling classes to the level they want because simply of money for a new hire. They are disguised to look beneficial as if the company cares but the reality is they are just saving themselves and protecting the product they have to offer to the majors going forward.
All regionals are under compensated, that's the whole point.

Most regional (or major) airline pilots don't care about first year pay or sign-on bonuses. That's the company's problem with regard to recruiting. Once on the seniority list, pilots are concerned with long-term compensation and stability.

I suggest you go try a regional that has a big sign-on bonus instead of SKW (just hope to God you don't get stuck there). There's a reason for those bonuses. Enjoy.
