It's not unreal, it's the airline industry. If you don't like something right now just wait, it will change. Everything changes in this industry.

In 2006 Spirit airlines looked more promising than USAir. NKS also had better Airbus rates than most.

Alegiant wasn't a blip on the radar. In fact a year ago Alegiant had major management/pilot relation issues.

In the late 90's early 2000's Airborne Express was per hour one of the highest paying airlines on the planet with the best retirement package.
I was hired there. Ask me how that went.
