The more of you who "stay to see how the contract turns" out will allow management to believe they're paying you an adequate amount to keep you on property, and legitimize a lower offer (in their minds).
The company has already demonstrated a fear of staffing issues through their new pilot gateway program... A collective no vote is one thing, a no vote while you're hemorraging pilots will entice the company to pay you more to stop the bleeding.
The more folk who vote with their feet now, the higher the initial TA offer will be.
