Default Mesa Interview, New Hire ?

Thinking about Mesa as a backup of the backup airline. (Always help to have a Plan C, right?)

Anyway, to anyone who knows....

I've heard that people are getting job offers on the spot at off-site interviews that Mesa is having all over the US.

Some people said Mesa is letting you choose the airplane.

1. Is that true?

2. How exactly does that work? Do you just pick your aircraft at Day 1 of class? Or, do you just bid for a base, and the aircraft at that base is what you get?

Basically, is it as straightforward as them asking you in class, what do you want? DH8, ERJ, or CRJ?

I'm only asking because this is the backup of my backup airlilne, and only the CRJ is based at the location I'm interested in (ORD).

Anyone know how this "pick your aircraft" deal works? Is it confirmed before class, or during class?

Thanks!
