Just a heads up, I've jumpseated several times lately on Hawaiian and every time I've called the regular reservations number, they say that they can't list me and that I would have to contact dispatch. At first I thought I just got someone new but it's happened 3-4 times now. The agents at the gate don't seem very happy either when I explain why I don't have a listing.
On another note, many times the agents inside security don't have the ability to CASS verify at certain gates (especially in HNL). Best bet is to just check in with a service desk on the inter island side, then walk all the way out to your gate.
I'm not sure why the gate agents are doing that, because it doesn't matter if you have a listing or not as a OA jumpseater. Just show up at the gate and ask. We have a small number of gate agents on power trips so no matter how nice you are they'll give you a hard time. But most of them are very nice and accommodating.
